The Jazz Butcher Conspiracy : Mailing List : 1995

Subject: Beasts and super-beasts

Hi all,

I don't remember (damn) if this was mentioned in the Illuminate liner
notes, but I do remember that the JBC had flirted with the idea of
calling the album "Beasts and Super-beasts". In any case, I think
Pat used the phrase in the liner notes?

ANYHOW, I just found an electronic copy of what seems to be a
collection of short stories called Beasts and Super-beasts, by Hector
Hugh ("Saki") Munro, in electronic format at Project Gutenburg. I've
just read one story and found in fairly amusing in a wry sort of way.
I presume this may be where Pat got the phrase.

If anyone is interested, the URL is:

ftp:://uiarchive.cso.uiuc.edu/pub/etext/gutenberg/etext95/beast10.txt

Enjoy!!
