The Jazz Butcher Conspiracy : Mailing List : 1998

David J on Glass

From: Knight H. Berman, Jr. <presto_at_mindspring.com>
Date: Wed 04 Feb 1998 - 18:40:57 PST

Is this another Glass re-issue? Where's the Butcher? "David J on Glass" has some really GREAT stuff on it! The track listing for the CD I have (GLACD 017) is:

        The Promised Land
I Can't Shake this Shadow of Fear
Saint Jackie (*a different version from the one on "Etiquette...")
A Seducer, A Doctor, A Card You Cannot Trust
Crocodile Tears & the Velvet Cosh Revisited
Ship of Fools (* the John Cale song!)
        Night of the Silver Veil
        4 Hours
        The Conjurers Hand
        This Vicious Cabaret
        V's Theme (Intro)
        Incidental
        V's Theme (Outro)
The Party's Over (*Dave & Butchie in a drunken duet!)
Fabulous record, highly recommended! Bittersweet: the only song Max
plays on is "Ship of Fools," but it's a Sikorskies from Hell cut by any other name (Pat & Max & Dave & Jones being the musicians). Ah, that GROUP! Received on Wed Apr 22 17:56:29 1998
